★00:10★ – 2nd Battalion from 1st Infantry Division in Ghazni Province travels through one of the most dangerous areas in Afghanistan because of information about 2 HBED’s in the area and to disrupt enemy moment. During the patrol the Soldiers took small arms fire from all sides. Late in the day Capt. James Nehl was hit by an enemy sniper, the wound resulted in his death.

★02:31★ – Soldiers from 173rd Airborne Brigade in intense combat during a firefight with Taliban in Baraki Barak District, Afghanistan 2012.

Baraki Barak District is situated in the western part of Logar Province, Afghanistan. It borders Wardak Province to the west and northwest, Pul-i-Alam District to the north and east and Kharwar and Charkh districts to the south.
